Mapping and limitations
ElastiCache Serverless maps to Redis/Valkey-compatible target caches. The application retains the cache wire protocol, but a compatible endpoint does not reproduce AWS serverless capacity scaling or billing. Configure target capacity, availability and connection limits explicitly; a Kubernetes Valkey deployment is a provisioned cache that you operate. These target services provide the mapping described above, within its stated limits.
